THE GEOCONNECT+ SOLUTION

GeoConnect+ is a cloud-based platform which hosts and connects your asset information with unlimited BIM, GIS and IoT datasets. It provides insights and intelligence, integrates and simplifies data access, and ultimately enables transformative change in business performance.

DELIVER

The process of asset delivery can be long and complex. Thousands of documents and datasets are developed, paid for and often lost during the process of moving through the various stages of planning, design, delivery and handover.

In the UK alone, over £90 billion is spent on new asset delivery every year1.  It is also estimated that 20% of large projects go over time and up to 80% go over budget2.

GeoConnect+ helps manage all the planning, design, manufacturing, construction and handover data for entire estates – integrating drawings, gaming simulations, BIM and all other types of data – in a single, simple user interface.  By securely storing and geolocating information, it is possible to maximise return on investment in data creation.

Operational excellence – and the provision of the highest quality services – depends on access to accurate, up-to-date information and intelligence about your assets. Market research suggests that the UK spends roughly £120bn on operational, maintenance and facilities management each year3. Further, according to the World Economic Forum, the total operation and maintenance costs for a typical vertical construction project, after 30 years of the building’s life, are nearly as large as those of the initial project4.

Finding and tracking the information about particular assets accounts for significant added cost and lost opportunity for service optimisation. Being able to extract data in real-time from BMS (Building Management Systems) and IoT (Internet of Things) sensors offers new levels of insight into how assets are performing, letting users know when maintenance and replacement is needed. GeoConnect+ provides a clearer platform for better communication and understanding of various standardised processes in the Facilities Management domain.

OPTIMISE

Maintaining the ‘as-designed’ performance of an asset is difficult in reality, let alone optimising it.

It has been found that there is a 3-4 times performance gap between predicted performance and ‘as-built’ building performance levels5.

PLATFORM

GeoConnect+ is a group of best-of-breed technologies that support an outcome-based approach to programme delivery, asset operation and lifecycle optimisation.

With GeoConnect+ users can move from the macro to the micro in a single environment, allowing access to the information users need, precisely when they need it. It makes use of an information hierarchy to surface various disparate – traditionally siloed – information and data sources into a unified virtual environment. Once aggregated, the geospatially located maps, simulations and models provide an end-to-end representation of the “virtual asset” at any point throughout the lifecycle of its real-world counterpart.

Our complete technology stack is underpinned by an exemplar BIM Level 2 Common Data Environment (CDE). This is built on the requisite security protocols and supports industry standard methods and procedures for information exchange, administration, storage and management, across an entire programme lifecycle.

GeoConnect+ has not been designed to replicate and replace the specialist tools and activities carried out by a supply chain. Rather, it is used to surface the information a user needs in a customisable format suitable to said user, in order to support key decision making at business, system and asset levels.
